An Amazing Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day was amazing! Jerod started off the weekend by coming home early on Friday to surprise me with a mini get a way! I LOVE to stay in hotels, so he took me for a night of rest and relaxation! When we got to the hotel he had my favorite PF Changs Lettuce Wraps, flowers, Reeses Cups and a bar of dark chocolate waiting! We spent the day/evening eating, swimming and resting up! He took care of Parker so I could relax... I even had time to do my nails!

The outside area at the hotel was amazing! I took pics so I could build this at my dream home one day.... ha! More like an "in my dreams home!" It was even better when the awnings were not up!

Saturday morning we woke up, ate breakfast at the hotel, relaxed until checkout and then headed for Tullahoma for more Mother's Day celebrations! We spent the afternoon with Mom and Dad Edgar, Ashley and Heath in Bell Buckle. After browsing the shops we ate at the Bell Buckle Cafe... delish! Here is one of my all time favorite pics of Ashley and Parker taken outside of the restaurant...

I can't go on without telling you all how Mom showed Parker off to every single shop worker! She didn't even shop! Instead she would just go straight to the counter and make friends with the worker! It was pretty comical! Ha!

Did I mention the amazing Mothers Day gift that Ashley, Heath, Mom and Dad got me? An awesome bracelet and earrings set from Brighton's! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! :)

That night we watched Avatar on Dad's projector screen! It was pretty awesome! I am sure Dad would have liked for it to have been a tad bit louder though (those of you who have had the privilege of visiting his mancave can laugh at this statement. Those of you have not had the privilege need to know that Dad now spends all of his spare time hunting down giant speakers. They fill every square inch of the basement and literally rattle the house! It has to be the loudest house ever. )

Jerod got up early with Parker on Sunday morning and let me sleep... bless him! Apparently Parker and Nana read a book while they waited for everyone to get up!

You all are going to think I am crazy, but Parker LOVES books! We read together every day. This one is currently his favorite. The animals have fuzzy spots on them and he knows how to pet them. He has also figured out how to turn the pages! The whole family witnessed him doing this this weekend, so they can vouch that I am not making this up (or am one of those delusional mom's who think their kid can do anything and everything, ha! Okay, maybe I am.) :)

When breakfast was ready, I was woken up by a sweet Parker wearing the cutest little "I Heart Mommy" onesie!

Then I found the sweetest card, plaster hand imprint and new charm for my bracelet on my nightstand! Jerod is amazing... and the most thoughtful person I know :).



We had a yummy breakfast with the family before meeting Mom and Dad Wooten at Aunt Diana's and Uncle Mike's house. They have the best place for family gatherings! They have an awesome pond complete with picnic tables where we spent most of the day. I unfortunately have HORRIBLE allergies right now (and I didn't want my eyes swelling like on Saturday) so I had to spent most of the day inside (boo). But luckily Jerod's parents got me this awesome 3D rose puzzle for Mothers Day so I worked it while the family played kickball. I am such a nerd! Next time I am def. playing kickball though! It was pretty sunny and cool/windy anyways so it was prob. best that I kept Parker inside for most of the day (trying to make myself feel better about missing out on the fun...ha!).

That pretty much wraps up our weekend! We then drove back home just in time to watch Brothers & Sisters!

Don't worry! We were parked. Parker decided to cry for 15 mins straight so we pulled over to make sure he was okay. Of course he was... he just wanted to drive! Notice the left hand on the wheel... not to mention that face!
